The Department of Cardiology at PGIMER is a center of excellence providing comprehensive cardiac care including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and preventive cardiology. The department performs over 5,000 cardiac procedures annually including angioplasties, device implantations, and structural heart interventions.
The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery performs over 1,500 open heart surgeries yearly including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repairs/replacements, and congenital heart defect corrections. The department has a dedicated 50-bed cardiac ICU with advanced monitoring systems.
Cardiology ServicesThe Department of Neurology provides comprehensive care for neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuromuscular diseases. The stroke unit operates 24/7 with thrombolysis facilities.
The Department of Neurosurgery performs over 2,000 surgeries annually including brain tumor resections, aneurysm clippings, spine surgeries, and functional neurosurgery. The department has state-of-the-art facilities including neuronavigation, intraoperative monitoring, and a dedicated neuro-intensive care unit.
NeurosciencesThe Department of Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology provide comprehensive cancer care. The institute has a dedicated cancer center with linear accelerators, brachytherapy, chemotherapy day care, and surgical oncology facilities.
Multidisciplinary tumor boards ensure personalized treatment plans for each patient. The department conducts clinical trials for new cancer therapies and has a robust palliative care service.
Cancer CareThe Advanced Pediatrics Center (APC) is a 400-bed dedicated facility providing tertiary care for children. It houses departments of pediatric medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and oncology.
The APC has a 50-bed neonatal ICU, one of the largest in North India, and performs pediatric liver and kidney transplants. The center serves as a referral unit for complex pediatric cases from across Northern India.
